Blondes going brunette to be taken seriously
In a recent poll in the UK, it was stated that so many of the blonde workers within the work place are now dying their hair darker colors such as black or brown in a bid to be taken seriously, a result that has had so many of the blondes in the world protesting with fury!
Fergie
Both Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas and even Scarlett Johannson have both opted for a darker and more “sensible” looking color of late although whether this is just for a change or whether it has been done in a bid to be taken more seriously is not actually known.
Scarlett Johansson
According to the UK study, around sixty-two percent of women believe that having darker hair in the work place is something that is more likely to get them noticed for their work achievements and also to be promoted quicker which begs for the question, is it all really down to hair color?
Blonde or Brunette
In another question in the poll, around thirty percent of women have actually dyed their hair a darker color in order to be taken more seriously at work and sales of darker hair dying products have apparently increased with the economic crisis having many people doing whatever it takes to progress at work.
Blonde vs Brunette
So, does hair color or style really matter? Is it actually fair to discriminate against a certain hair color? Although it is not actually legal to do so, perhaps there is some truth in the matter, something that is not helped by the amount of blonde jokes and statements made against them which give them all a bad name!
Beautiful Brunette
